When is the best time to fish? An old adage says the best time to fish is when you can go! Although there is some truth to that, the best times for salmon are early morning and early evening until dusk
Although most charters leave the dock at 7:00 am if you want to REALLY get the good bite a 5:00 to 5:30 am departure is recommended. You can always catch a late morning nap to make up for the early trip.
Leaving the dock at 5:00 pm is also a very productive time. The King Kat can be out on one of the many hot spots, with all lines set for the late bite. As the sun begins to set the salmon start biting. Double and triple hook ups are common on the evening trips!
